Skin cancer is the most common type of human malignancy. Although there are significant efforts made to promote awareness of skin health and prevention methods, adherence is variable and skin cancer burden remains significant. In January 2024, a total of 107 individuals were interviewed across 3 different beaches in Victoria to determine how much the general population in Melbourne knows about sunscreen usage and skin health, and secondly, determining whether increased need for sunscreen access and education correlates to socio-economic index of communities.
